Myco Mojo 4.5Kg Starter Monotub Refill Pack
Monotubs are an excellent way to grow top-fruiting mushrooms, especially those which thrive in a CVG substrate. This 4.5Kg starter pack contains 1.5Kg of sterilised rye, optimally hydrated and supplied in a double-heat sealed Unicorn T-filter mushroom bag with a handy injection port added post-sterilisation, plus 3Kg of CVG substrate (coco coir, vermiculite and gypsum) which is also supplied in a heat-sealed Unicorn mushroom bag. All ingredients are freshly made, usually no more than 4 days prior to dispatch.

New Growers? If you are planning to use a monotub for the first time and you don’t have colonised grain spawn ready to go, you should note that you’ll need to inoculate (ie inject with liquid culture) the rye grain bag and wait for it to be fully colonised (without opening the grain bag) before opening it and mixing the rte with the substrate in your monotub. Depending on what you inoculate your rye with, storage conditions and the strength of the inoculate material, full colonisation can take 3-4 weeks. Your substrate needs to be kept undisturbed in cool shaded conditions for that time to avoid it spoiling before you are ready to use it.
