Shimeji Liquid Culture Syringe Kits. Shimeji Mushrooms (Hypsizygus tessellatus) are also known as Beech Mushrooms. Shimeji mushrooms are well known for their delicate flavor and firm texture and very popular in Oriental cuisine, loved for their unique taste and versatility. Our liquid culture kits are the ideal way to start growing these lovely mushrooms at home.

The use of liquid culture to inoculate your grain and start the growing process is both quicker and safer than other methods. Our mushroom liquid cultures are prepared using strong and healthy mushroom cultures and grown in a nutrient-rich liquid, allowing consistent mycelium growth. Liquid cultures, which contain live mycelium, is used to inoculate and colonise grain and is generally more efficient than spore syringes or agar wedge techniques. Liquid culture mycelium can be more evenly distributed in the grain bag/jar, resulting in more rapid colonization.

Our Shimaji liquid culture (different sizes available) is supplied in Luer-lock syringes.
