Description
Our 1.5Kg CVG mushroom grow kit – also called all-in-one bags – contains sterilised organic rye grain and a CVG substrate formulated using coco coir, vermiculite and calcium sulphate (gypsum), which is suitable for manure-loving mushrooms. The grain and substrate are processed for optimum hydration, packed in highest quality Unicorn mushroom bags, sterilised and then heat-sealed. Self-healing injection ports are added to the bags post-sterilisation ready to be used as inoculation points.
Customers should note that ‘all in one’ grow bags is a common term used to describe bags containing both sterilised grain and substrate which are ready for inoculation. These bags do not contain spores or mycelium unless stated otherwise – you buy or provide this separately.
Bags should be stored in a cool dark place until they are to be used, and should be used as soon as possible for best results. To inoculate a grow bag, simply inject the liquid culture of your choice into the grain via the injection port. In most cases (it can vary) no more than 4-5ml of culture should be used in each bag. Using too much can cause contamination to occur through the excess liquid. Using spore syringes to inoculate grow bags is not recommended due to the higher risk of contamination compared to liquid culture or agar cultures.
