Lion’s Mane liquid culture – these unusual looking mushrooms are among the easiest and most popular mushrooms to grow at home, and delicious to eat!  Aside from their purported health benefits, Lion’s Mane mushrooms are very hard to find fresh in shops, meaning the only way to sample them is to grow them! Using liquid culture to inoculate your grain and start the growing process is widely acknowledged as being the best way to grow mushrooms, as well as being quicker and safer than other methods. Our mushroom liquid cultures are prepared using strong and healthy mushroom cultures and grown in nutrient-rich malt and yeast extracts.

Liquid culture (mycelium) is regarded as the best way to inoculate and colonise grain and is generally more efficient than spore syringes or agar wedge techniques. Liquid culture mycelium can be more evenly distributed in the grain bag/jar, resulting in more rapid colonization.
