King Oyster Mushrooms, like most Oyster mushroom varieties, are among the easiest mushrooms to grow at home, and delicious to eat!  The use of liquid culture to inoculate your grain and start the growing process is the best way to grow mushrooms, as it is both quicker and safer than other methods. Our King Oyster liquid culture has been prepared using strong and healthy mushroom cultures and grown in nutrient-rich malt and yeast extracts.

Liquid culture (mycelium) is regarded as the best way to inoculate and colonise grain and is generally more efficient than spore syringes or agar wedge techniques. Liquid culture mycelium can be more evenly distributed in the grain bag/jar, resulting in more rapid colonization.

One Luer-Lock syringe containing King Oyster liquid culture (different sizes available)
One 8g sterile needle
70% isopropyl alcohol swab
