The Myco Mojo range of products is aimed squarely at home mushroom cultivation, chosen and formulated based on our own mushroom growing experience. Although we have expanded and changed over time, we started out as home mushroom growers and know only too well the importance of using fresh, high quality products. Having concentrated on local growers for some time, we launched the Myco Mojo brand in 2024 and make our products available over a larger spread of outlets.

Myco Mojo is a small Essex-based business which has been developed over time after starting out as home mushroom growers ourselves. Our experience means we fully understand both the pleasure and frustrations that growing mushrooms at home can bring. Our aim is to help make your mushroom cultivation as easy and enjoyable for you as possible by providing you with the best quality products. Although this website exists to provide an online storefront for mushroom growing products, you will also find various articles offering advice and mushroom growing guides.

Myco Mojo Shop

Myco Mojo products include a small range of products including sterilised grain for use as grain spawn, substrates for mixing with your grain spawn including bulk product for use in monotubs, pre-made grow bags (sometimes called ‘all-in-one’ bags) with grain and substrate pre-sterilised ready for inoculation. We also offer a range of mushroom liquid cultures, pre-colonised agar, colonised grain ready for inoculating your chosen substrate, mushroom spore syringes, spore prints and more. Colonised grain and agar, liquid cultures and spore products will generally be offered subject to availability and may be out of stock from time to time due to the time it takes to produce them. However, we do accept back orders for any products that are temporarily out of stock (you will be advised of any likely waiting time when ordering).

Additional Products

Growing mushrooms takes more than the grain and substrates we produce so in addition to products we produce ourselves, we decided to offer other items which mushroom growers will find useful, if not essential, such as high quality mushroom bags, filters and so on, to save customers time looking elsewhere for these products. Top Quality Organic Products

At Myco Mojo we take pride in offering the highest quality products for mushroom cultivation and our grain spawn and substrates are all made from the highest quality sustainable organic products. As a measure of this, we also use the same products that we sell – the grain and substrates we use are made at the same time and in the same way as stocks we prepare for customers. If we get more orders than usual, we simply supply those orders from stock we’d planned to use ourselves.

Always Fresh

Myco Mojo are mushroom growers as well as selling supplies so we know the importance of using only fresh grain and substrates. Rather than produce in bulk, we do sterilisation runs daily, which means products are always freshly made – rarely more than 48 hours old. We don’t use ‘all in one’ grow bags for our own production so these are generally made to order, except at weekends when we have to guess in advance at likely order levels. This means that they can sometimes take an extra day to prepare.

Myco Mojo Cultures and Spawn

Myco Mojo also produce a small range of mushroom mycelium liquid cultures for  the most popular strains for home growers. In addition, we also supply mycelium colonised agar petri dishes for the same mushroom species. Live mycelium, either in the form of liquid culture or agar cultures, is the basic building block for mushroom cultivation.

Colonised agar is supplied in 90mm petri dishes, sealed with parafilm and ready for use. Liquid cultures are supplied in syringe kits including the liquid culture syringe itself, with needle, syringe stopper and alcohol wipes. Liquid cultures are always subject to availability, but fresh stocks are prepared on a regular basis.

For those not wanting to wait around while their grain colonizes, we also supply fully colonized grain spawn packs for certain mushroom types. Availability may vary, but we try our best to maintain constant stocks of our most popular strains. This grain spawn can then be used either to inoculate additional grain or can simply be added to your chosen substrates.

Do you accept bulk orders?

Yes of course, we are able to accept bulk orders for sterilised rye grain, and also bulk orders for our CVG substrate, always subject to fitting in with our own production schedule. We are happy to supply buyers who are interested in larger scale mushroom cultivation and also those who wish to start up selling mushroom supplies. By bulk orders, we mean multiples of the existing bulk order items listed in our shop. Ordering from Myco Mojo is simple. Simply browse our shop, select the products you want, and then proceed to our secure checkout. We offer prompt secure shipping via Royal Mail tracked services. If our website is ever down you can also order from us via our Amazon UK shop.

Free Delivery
We offer free tracked delivery to mainland UK destinations for most products. Orders are normally dispatched one or two working days (depending on the product) after your order is received and are sent in simple plain packaging. Bulk orders may require longer lead times, especially during busy periods, but this will be explained on bulk product listings where appropriate. Unfortunately we do not accept international orders, sorry.

Registered Users
When ordering, shoppers can choose either to buy as a guest or to create an account and become a registered user. Myco Mojo registered users will receive details of occasional special offers and also regular buyer discounts that guest users won’t see or get, along with offers on products that might not be listed in the shop.
